Antique mid-late 1800’s “Creepie” Stool

A beautiful old mid to late 19th century creepie stool (also known as a “cricket”) – made to be low to the ground so one could creep close to the fire and be under the smoke line. Amazing carving on two opposite corners and the remnants of some other decoration on the top with solid piece legs. A wonderful piece of history that would look great in any setting.
